“As we mentioned in our press release today, we are super excited to share that we have hired John Stanford as the newest member of our leadership team.
John has a rich background in communication systems and himself is an avid ham! He will assume the role of Chief Technical Officer, working closely with John and the rest of the leadership team. As it says in the press release, John received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Dayton and then went on to receive his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He did his graduate research on log-periodic dipole array (LPDA) antennas.
You can’t be at SteppIR, though, without being an avid ham radio enthusiast! We’re happy to report that John is an active HF and VHF CW/SSB contester and you can hear him on six and two-meter Meteor scatter. He has also assembled a band-hopping WSPR station and operates on the FT8 and JT65 digital modes.
And – if that isn’t enough – the most exciting thing is John bring a wealth of experience in the EMC market. This is a market we continue to evaluate and analyze for potential growth opportunities.
As I said last fall, we have a strong pipeline of products and services to be released over the next year and will continue to have a strong innovation at SteppIR. John will be an incredibly important part of this innovation. So one last time: welcome to SteppIR, John!
And as always, to stay up-to-speed on all the interesting news that will come from SteppIR in the near future, sign up for our newsletter. And as always, thank you for the support!”
