With region 2756 approaching the west limb and already starting to fade away

“With region 2756 approaching the west limb and already starting to fade away, here is a little graph I put together showing the number of sunspot regions assigned between January 2019 and January 2020. Cycle 24 regions are in Red and new Cycle 25 regions are in Blue. This gives you a good idea of the shift between cycles that is now underway.

Active Regions belonging to Cycle 24 during this period were 2732, 2733, 2734, 2735, 2736, 2737, 2738, 2739, 2740, 2741, 2742, 2743, 2745, 2746, 2747, 2748, 2749 and 2751.

Active Regions belonging to new Cycle 25 during this period were 2744, 2750, 2752, 2753, 2754, 2755 and finally 2756.

Hopefully this trend will continue at a much quicker rate than expected.
