JK Antennas Navassa-5 Multi-Band Yagis interlace full-size 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10-meter elements on a single 12 ft. boom with a rugged 2 in. diameter. Named after the Navassa Island DXpedition, these antennas are based on a collaborative design effort by Daniel Horvat, E73M/N4EXA and JK Antennas.

JK’s unique design places full-size elements on a single boom and produces amazing 2-element mono-band performance on all 5 high bands! This results in producing good gain and great SWR bandwidth on all 5 bands. An optional 6-meter kit adds 2-more elements to make these antennas work on the 50 MHz Magic Band.

Mechanical details:

* Boom Length: 12 ft.
* Boom Diameter: 2.0 in.
* Wind Area: 8.97 Sq. ft.
* Maximum Wind Speed: 100 MPH
* Maximum Turning Radius: 19.45 ft.
* Longest Element: 36.8 ft.
* Element Construction: Stainless-steel through-bolts (no rivets or worm clamps)
* Mast size: Heavy duty U-Bolts supplied for 2 in. OD Masts
* Approximate Weight: 59 lbs.
* Power Handling: 5,000 watts (limited by balun selected)
* 1:1 Balun is required (not supplied)

These antennas have been designed to give the ham radio operator an excellent antenna for operation on all 5 high bands with automatic band switching and a single feed line. The short boom length was employed to keep the antenna compact and the installation simple. Navassa-5 antennas use direct 50-ohm coaxial feed with the all driven elements connected by a robust metal strap balanced transmission line. A high-quality 1:1 current balun is required. The COMTEK COM-BAL-11150DT is recommended for full power handling and best performance.

Like all JK Antennas, Navassa-5 beams are manufactured with high quality materials and hardware; like their larger low-band Yagis. A 1/4 in. (6mm) thick mast plate and all mounting hardware is included with these antennas.

When you think about working DX on the WARC and Classic High Bands using a high-performance Yagi, think about JK Antennas Navassa-5 Multi-Band Yagis.
