Solar activity remains at very low levels on Thursday

Solar activity remains at very low levels on Thursday. The lone spotted region (AR 2767) continues to transit the southeast quadrant and its not magnetically complex. Image by SDO/HMI.

Geomagnetic activity is also at quiet levels today. A gentle coronal hole stream coupled with a possible incoming weak transient passage could help to boost the Kp somewhat during the next 48 hours, but is not expected to reach storm levels.
