Christian “Doc” Payne, G5DOC QRZ Quote: “When I’m asked why I’m fascinated with radio when we have the internet I don’t talk about … the constant surprise when I bounce a signal round the world on 10 watts, … I explain that audio carries emotion better than any other medium.”

Propagation Ham –  Originally coined by Tim Deagan, KJ8U, in Episode 334 of the QSO Today Podcast to mean the ham that builds the gear, tests it on the air, then goes back to building.  This can be applied to hams that like to build antennas, transmitters, etc to see where their signals propagate.
