The Little Tarheel (TH-1L), when properly installed on your vehicle, will provide continuous coverage from 7.0 to 54 MHz with the supplied whip. The Little Tarheel II will provide continuous coverage from 3.5 to 54 MHz with the supplied whip. Both antennas, like all of our motorized antenna models are built to meet the highest standards but in a much smaller size – In this case, Dynamite really does come in small packages! Sensors are already preinstalled so you can add one of the auto controllers below. The Little Tarheel series is designed for the person who wants to enjoy HF mobile but is not interested in a huge antenna on their car. Dont let the small size fool you, it is designed to be mounted higher on the vehicle and when mounted higher you have much less ground losses which equal higher performance. It also lets you use a more common type of mount like the MFJ-336T tri-magnet mount or MFJ-345T lip mount. You get the same great look as our other larger antennas with our Power Coat Paint System and our Lexan Weather Shield – not the flimsy stuff that others use. Little Tarheel series uses the Pittman commercial 12-Volt gear motor. Included standard with the screwdriver antenna is the whip, 20 feet of plug-n-play control cable, manual control box, ferrite decoupling core and ⅜ x 24 threaded stud.
