New Firmware Updates for the IC-705, IC-7300 and IC-9700 SDR Transceivers

Icom has released updates for its latest range of Amateur radios. The updates are available for the IC-705, IC-7300 and IC-9700 SDR transceivers.

The updates are as follows:

IC-705 Firmware Update (Version 1.26)
Changes from Version 1.24
• When in the Centre mode of the Spectrum scope screen, the REF level setting has been updated so that it does not reflect the scope waveform during transmission.
• This firmware update (version 1.26) has been improved, so it will not reset settings and memories.
• If the firmware is updated from version 1.24 or earlier, the settings and memories are not reset. However, if the firmware is reverted to 1.26 from a later version (after 1.26), the settings and memories may be reset.

CS-705 Programming Software (Version 1.11)

IC-7300 Firmware Update (Version 1.41)
Changes from Version 1.40
• An item in the connectors menu has been added called PTT Port Function.
• When in the Centre mode of the Spectrum scope screen, the REF level setting has been updated so that it does not reflect the scope waveform during transmission.
• This firmware update (version 1.41) has been improved, so it will not reset settings and memories.
• If the firmware is updated from version 1.40 or earlier, the settings and memories are not reset. However, if the firmware is reverted to 1.41 from a later version (after 1.41), the settings and memories may be reset.

IC-9700 Firmware Update (Version 1.31)
Changes from Version 1.30
• When in the Centre mode of the Spectrum scope screen, the REF level setting has been updated so that it does not reflect the scope waveform during transmission
• A thick white line indicating the centre when in the Centre mode of the Spectrum scope screen will not be displayed.
• This firmware update version (1.31) has been improved, so it will not reset settings and memories. If the firmware is updated from version 1.30 or earlier, the settings and memories are not reset. However, if the firmware is reverted to 1.31 from a later version (after 1.31), the settings and memories may be reset.
