WRTC 2022 Award

First time ever dedicated Award to the promotion of the organization of the WRTC 2022 – “World Radio Team Championship”.

Beginning 1st January to 10th July 2022, over 100 italian operators will activate the special WRTC callsigns, one for each Italian call area.
Special WRTC callsigns will be active also during some contests, the final activity will be during the IARU HF Contest 2022.

QSO and hunter’s scores will be real time on wrtc2022.it/award.
Each hunter will be able to download the award in digital format at the end of the radio event.

AWARD RULES

1. Purpose
Promotion of the organization of the WRTC 2022 – “World Radio Team Championship”.

2. Start / End
From 00.00 UTC on 1st January 2022 to 11.59 UTC on 10th July 2022

3. YL / OM QSO
Award is issued following the QSO with the special stations, in the period indicated in point 2 of this regulation.
The list of special callsign stations:
II1WRTC, II2WRTC, II3WRTC, II4WRTC, II5WRTC, II6WRTC, II7WRTC, II8WRTC, II9WRTC, II0WRTC
2-ways QSOs with exchange of the R/S ratio only in SSB are valid (R/S/T for CW/RTTY and
+/- dB in digital modes).

4. Bands
HF 1,8 – 30 Mhz (warc included)

5. Modes
CW, SSB and digital modes (FT8, RTTY).

6. Scores / QSOs
Award provides a final ranking for operators making QSO with special stations, based on the total sum of the points:

CW: 10 points. For each QSO, for each band and in the CW mode.
example II1WRTC (or any other special station), QSO on 40mt CW, 20mt CW, 10mt CW:
10 + 10 + 10 = 30 points)

SSB: 5 points. For each QSO, for each band and in the SSB mode.
example II1WRTC (or any other special station), QSO in 40mt LSB, 20mt USB, 10mt USB:
5 + 5 + 5 = 15

RTTY: 4 points for each QSO, for each band and in RTTY mode.
example II1WRTC (or any other special station), QSO in 40mt RTTY, 20mt RTTY, 10mt RTTY:
4 + 4 + 4 = 12

FT8: 3 points for each QSO, for each band and in the FT8 mode.
example II1WRTC (or any other special station), QSO in 40mt FT8, 20mt FT8, 10mt FT8:
3 + 3 + 3 = 9 points

7. QSO accreditation
Each special station can be worked only once for each band and for each mode, excluding QSO’s during the contests indicated below in the period of validity for the award, including the IARU HF Contest of 9/10 July 2022, where each station can be worked again. (scores are the same for band and mode).
Any “dupe” QSO will not be considered as a penalty or score.

8. Score listings
Final ranking is calculated for:
– higher score
– greater number of QSOs
– greater number of special stations processed
– more worked bands
– more worked modes

9. Award release
To obtain the award, a minimum of 50 points is needed, within the times and methods indicated in these rules. Issue of the award is free and does not require paper qsl’s or QSO confirmations.

In case the minimum required 50 points for the award are not reached, each log operator with at least 1 qso will still be able to receive the certificate of participation.

The award or certificate of participation is issued by downloading the file in digital format, in high resolution A4 format, without registration and through the website www.wrtc2022.it/award, at the end of the event.
