This one is a series 7P the first series of 260 to have reverse 4mm banana plugs and mechanical overload protection.
Its as close to new as you can get in a gently used VOM – it is in mint condition.
The pictures show the Simpson leather case and the wear on the lid hinge.
Easily repaired at your local shoemaker / leather repair guy.
This leather case is not the same age as the meter….. I married them recently.
The meter originally from the leather case was sold years ago.
Uses a 1.5v D cell and a 9v Duracell or similar.
Comes with a new set of genuine Simpson test leads / probes with optional screw on alligator clips.
I have another Simpson 260 series 7P and a Triplett 630 so this one needs a new home.
