For Sale: Zenith Transoceanic model 600 portable shortwave receiver ca. mid ‘50s. Chassis model 5A40. Works well on AM band and heard WWV on 15MHz but a lot of ‘buzzing’ QRM at this QTH. Extendable antenna in perfect shape, slide rule dial works smoothly and the function switches work as should. Has an ‘original’ (empty) battery box – with the correct battery holder, a ‘D’ cell can be placed in it to power the dial light. Retractable power cord mechanism works, log book in good shape as is wave magnet. Some scuffing noted on exterior bot is relatively minor. Asking $75.
