The official amateur radio club of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is on the air to celebrate the iconic raceway and the running of the Soniso Grand Prix. Special event station W9IMS will be active May 4th through May 10th.
This event is one of three events taking place centered around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2025. W9IMS will be on the air May 19-25 to celebrate the running of the Indianapolis 500 as well as July 21-27 to celebrate the running of the Brickyard 400.
The event station will operate SSB across several bands. QSL cards will be available for each event and a certificate will be available for hams that work all three events. More information is available on the W9IMS QRZ page.
