It’s All in the Cards: A Convenient Way to Store or Display Your QSL Cards

We love QSL cards at OnAllBands! Here’s why:

  • It’s a part of the hobby that lets us remember our favorite QSOs—where we were, the pileups we faced, our call sign cutting through the din, and the thrill of writing the entry in our logbook.

They often feature information and stunning graphics that open our eyes to the wonders of our diverse planet.

  • For Little Pistols, QSL cards can remind us of what is capable with a hundred watts and a wire—when the ionosphere abides.
  • They serve as an excellent entry point when showing a non-ham what is so cool about amateur radio.

All these reasons explain why we routinely feature QSL cards collected by DX Engineering’s team of active operators. Presenting QSL cards also lets us highlight upcoming DXpeditions.

Please take a moment to read this wonderful history of QSL card collecting from Ward, N0AX: Why QSL? And an Atlas of QSL Cards.”

If you’d like an easy way to organize or display your QSL cards around your station, check out Q-View QSL Card Holders from Art Sci available at DX Engineering. Choose from versions that accommodate 3.5″ x 5.5″ or 4″ x 6″ cards. Both models hold 20 cards and come in packs of two, so you can display up to 40 cards. These well-built plastic holders fan-fold to help you organize your QSL card collection. Place the holders in a file box (or shoe box), and the top section of the holder will act as an index tab. By adding more holders, you can quickly display hundreds of cards.

Editor’s Note: Every month, DX Engineering features QSL cards from our team members’ personal collections. To highlight upcoming DXpeditions, we’ll be displaying a few of our favorite cards along with details about what it took to make these contacts. We’re excited to share some of the special cards pulled from the thousands we’ve received over the years. We look forward to seeing your cards as well!
