FT8 and the 6m band [ Club Log ]

“DXers have adopted FT8 to catch openings on the 6m band in the last year in even greater numbers than on HF. With the often sporadic nature of the openings on 6m, it’s easy to see the upsides of all the activity being easy to find in a narrow segment of the band, and of course the signal-to-noise advantage of the mode is attractive. Perhaps here more than ever though, the feedback loop of CQ’s on other modes going unanswered is leading to their decline?
